This is an awesome product. I'm the lead singer of a band (Loudfinger, covers and originals)and it's hard to remember the lyrics for all the songs for a 4 hr show. I use a tablet to load lyrics on so that the right words are just a touch away. The problem I ran into was where to put it so it was safe but easily viewable. This mount was the answer.

I use an extra mic stand so I can move it out of the way, but I could just as easily mount it to the stand my microphone is on. With the 360 degree swivel, I can adjust it so that it's at the right angle and in the right position all the time. The clamp tightens and holds my tablet where I set it and it never slips. The adjustability for any size tablet is more than adequate for any model tablet that you might need on stage, and it breaks down so it will easily fit into a laptop bag without taking too much space.

I had high hopes for this item but it doesn't even fit a standard size microphone stand. I wanted to used it to hold my iPad in either landscape or portrait mode. What I received was actually the wrong product, which the seller quickly fixed. The product smelled terrible, too. It was like it had been soaking in oil or gasoline. I couldn't keep it in the house, I left it outside to air out for a couple days and it still had the smell. It's very flimsly even when it's attached. Unfortunately, I'm still looking for a decent microphone mount to set my iPad on for lyrics or music (that allows a case and smart cover).

While it's probably fine if you want your iPad in landscape mode, you do NOT want to use this if you need your iPad to be held vertically. Even if the rubber grips are tightly against the sides, if you push the iPad, it will get looser and eventually it will just slide out.
